The MozFest Weekend experience is organised into thematic sections called “SPACES”. Each Space is a collection of sessions, art installations, and workshops exploring issues and current topics relevant to the internet health movement.
Today, technologies are amplifying bias across all kinds of systems, from social networks to law enforcement tools, to public service providers. Some of us aren’t even visible to these platforms: facial recognition systems fail to recognise the gender of one in three women of colour.
Technology can both exclude and unite us. Imagine your phone, smart house, or driverless car rejects you or can’t understand you because of your accent or skin colour. Or imagine you are trying to find your way in a strange city where you don’t speak the language, and your device helps you communicate clearly to everyone and you easily make new friends.
We invite artists, scientists, activists, technologists from all backgrounds to help us drive change through diverse sessions, interactive exhibitions, art performances, and hands-on workshops that help raise awareness and spur action around the challenges of digital inclusion in the era of artificial intelligence.
We want a world where technology is developed by humanity, for the good of humanity. Join us at the Digital Inclusion Space ❤️
