Festival Director

Mark is Executive Director of Mozilla, a global community that does everything from making Firefox to taking stands on issues like privacy and net neutrality. Mark’s main job is to build the movement side of Mozilla, rallying the citizens of the web, building alliances with like-minded organizations and leaders, and growing the open internet movement.

Sarah Allen

Sarah Allen

Executive Festival Director

Sarah Allen is MozFest's Executive Director, joining the festival in 2013. She is passionate about designing interactive learning experiences to support and grow the internet health movement. Sarah has a background in a variety of events, from global sporting events, theatre, and fashion shows to local community festivals.

Allen Gunn

Allen “Gunner” Gunn

Co-designer and Emcee

Gunner is Executive Director of Aspiration in San Francisco, USA, and works to help NGOs, activists, foundations, and software developers make more effective use of technology for social change. He is an experienced facilitator with a passion for designing collaborative open learning processes.

Kevin Zawacki

Kevin Zawacki

Editorial Lead & Speaker Series Designer

Kevin Zawacki is Editorial Lead at Mozilla, and has a background in journalism and public relations. Kevin produces the festival’s Dialogues & Debates speakers series. 2019 will be Kevin's sixth MozFest.

Kristina Gorr

Kristina Gorr

Communications Lead

Kristina is Mozilla’s Open Leadership Community Coordinator. For the past four years, Kristina has brought her passion for building relationships and writing to MozFest through managing the festival’s email and social media campaigns. She also supports the production team and festival wranglers in their communication needs.

Zannah Marsh

Zannah Marsh

Content Strategist

Zannah has created interactive museum exhibits, organized global hackathons, developed collaborative workshops, and written and published her own mini-comics. She brings this mix of skills and experience to MozFest, as she provides support to session facilitators and space wranglers, and experiments with new ways to tell the story of the Festival.

Marc Walsh

Marc Walsh

Senior Production Coordinator

Marc is the Senior Production Coordinator working across the Events and Training team at Mozilla, with this being his eighth year working on the festival. Prior to working with the Foundation, Marc has worked on large scale events around the world with organisations such as FIFA, BBC and BMW. Drawing on this experience, he brings his logistical and production mind-set to help make sure the cogs keep turning across the festival.

Sabrina Ng

Creative Design Lead

Sabrina is a user experience and interface designer for Mozilla Foundation. She enjoys designing experiences that help build and connect communities, and this can been seen in her design direction across the festival. 2019 will be her seventh festival.

Mavis Ou

Mavis Ou

Front-end Engineer

Mavis Ou is a Front-end Engineer for the Mozilla Foundation. She enjoys implementing user-facing features, and is always keen to make user experience both at MozFest and in the software world more friendly and inclusive. 2019 will be Mavis' seventh MozFest.

Senior Engineer

Pomax is a Senior Full Stack Engineer for the Mozilla Foundation. He loves making fun things, and has hosted sessions at the Mozilla Festival around making simple games and simple graphics programming, and has been part of the Mozilla Foundation engineering team since 2012.

Gideon Thomas

Gideon Thomas

Product Manager

Gideon is a Product Manager who supports Mozilla Foundation's digital engagement activities and manages the digital platforms used for the festival. He works to identify the best ways to build connections online between people and the internet health movement during and after the festival.

Tom Farrow

Volunteer Coordinator

Tom is a third-year volunteer coordinator for MozFest, with experience across a large portion of the festival programming. Tom primarily handles planning and local communications for the volunteer program.

Ziggy Maes

Volunteer Coordinator

Ziggy is a volunteer coordinator for MozFest 2019, and a Mozilla Rep based in Belgium. He has been involved with the Festival since 2011, mainly assisting with pre-planning and on-site coordination of our amazing volunteer team. You’ll most definitely see him running through the venue during the weekend!

Senior Volunteer Coordinator

Robby is a Mozilla Rep Mentor based out of Dallas, Texas. He loves volunteering, the open web, and aviation. He is a longtime contributor to Mozilla and MozFest.
