Today, Mozilla and its supporters placed a full-page ad in the Washington Post supporting the American Innovation and Choice Online Act. AICOA is a bill that levels the playing field and puts control back in consumers’ hands by stopping tech platforms from giving preferential treatment to their own products.
In April, Mozilla’s Common Voice and Hekaya Arts initiative asked Kiswahili literature lovers to write essays inspired by culture, heritage, and social justice themes. The result; 33 entries of creative writing pieces in both fiction and non-fiction categories in Tanzania, Kenya, and Burundi.

Members of the European Parliament leading on the AI Act in the internal market (IMCO) and civil liberties (LIBE) committees have published a landmark report on what direction they want the Act to take. With this report in hand, parliamentarians will negotiate their joint position as well as their vision of what exactly “Trustworthy AI” means to the EU.
