Help build a festival where bold ideas turn into action
Every year, Mozilla Festival gathers thousands to build a healthier internet and trustworthy AI.
This November 7–9, we’ll gather at Poble Espanyol in Barcelona for three days filled with 270+ participatory sessions and inspiring Main Stage debates.
It’s a massive event powered by the time, energy and dedication of our volunteer community.

Why volunteer?
Volunteers are at the heart of Mozilla Festival. The experience brings the chance to meet new people, solve problems, and build new skills. It also creates an opportunity to contribute to Mozilla’s mission while being part of a community that makes the festival unforgettable. By completing a four hour shift, you’ll be able to attend the rest of the Festival for free.

What volunteers do
Behind every MozFest is the energy of its volunteers. Tasks range from welcoming participants at registration and info desks, to setting up session rooms, supporting speakers and facilitators, and stepping in wherever help is needed. Roles are matched with individual interests, and there’s often the chance to try more than one across the event.
What we provide
- A festival ticket (free for all accepted volunteers)
- A MozHelp hoodie (a coveted item)
- Snacks, plus lunch for volunteers covering noon shifts
- A chance to meet amazing people and be part of the MozHelp crew!
Unfortunately, Mozilla cannot cover travel or accommodation for the festival. We also cannot sponsor visa applications, but if you are accepted, we can provide a Letter of Participation to support your visa request.
